Words to live by: Philippians 4:8 Whatever is true, whatever is honorable….if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. Think, ponder, study and focus on what is good, pure and praiseworthy. Maybe keep a journal of blessings to view and review often. What we think about will come out in our actions.
I have something fun and different to share with you today. I have collaborated with Amy from Amy’s Creative Pursuits to bring you “1 Top, 2 Bloggers, 3 Looks”! And if I have done my math correctly, that give you 6 looks! I have really enjoyed getting to know Amy via her blog and Instagram photos, but after we met in person, which you can read all about here, we have actually become friends. Real life friends. And what do real life girlfriends do? They shop together! And that is what we did, almost.
I contacted Amy about an idea I had to for us each to feature the same new item and she jumped right on board! We decided that since we both have JC Penney near by, that, that would be where we shopped. I arrived at the store first and starting perusing the racks for something I thought would be versatile and fun to style. When I found something I liked, I sent a picture to Amy. I found several cute tops, but we both really liked the very first one. It is from Worthington and currently on sale!
Here is one of the pics I sent to her. This is back of the blouse – I just love the pretty details here.
Here is my fitting room selfie that I sent to Amy. She loved the blouse too and decided to get in in purple! We sent lots of pictures back and forth with encouraging comments. Almost like actually shopping with a friend. Almost.
The purple looks great on her and I love the fun pants!
We decided to create 3 looks each with our new blouse. However, I will tell you that this is a a very versatile blouse and you could wear it with so many things!
Here I’m wearing my new blouse with black skinny jeans and shooties. I chose a dessy black necklace, gold drop earrings and gold bangle bracelets.
I have been a long time fan of pink and green together. Since I actually wore my olive green skirt shopping, I had a chance to see it with the pink blouse right there in the store. I really like the pop of bright pink with the more subdued olive green. I will definitely plan on wearing this top with my olive green skinny utility pants too.
Here I have styled the blouse more casually with my wooden bead tassel necklace, espadrille wedges, and straw tote. I decided to grab my denim jacket to see how it looked. Yep. I like it!
Whoops. My photographer didn’t tell me my collar was partially popped!
Here is the back so you can see the pretty details.
Last up, I paired the the pink blouse with with my white flare jeans. I actually ended up wearing this outfit when we finished the photo shoot, out to dinner with my photographer. Ahem….husband.
Pairing this top with white jeans was a no brainer! I wore my gold teardrop earrings and a pretty pink and light grey floral statement necklace. I carried my pale pink Kate Spade bag. I felt so put together in this outfit. It was perfect for a dinner downtown with my hubby.
Here I am in the lobby of CitiPlace right outside of Max Downtown:
And here is a bathroom selfie!!:
Just proof that I actually wear what I show you!
Here is a sneak peek of Amy in one of her looks.
This blouse is from JC Penney and you can find it here.
I hope you enjoyed this format. It was a lot of fun do and if you like it, maybe we will “go shopping” together again!
