Words to live by: Psalm 143:8 Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love, for I have put my trust in you. Show me the way I should go. I just love how this verse brings to light how our relationship with God works. My sweet friends, are you dealing with grief, fear or a dilemma? Pray about it, then put your trust in God.
I seem to be doing a lot of juggling lately, between work, family, and other fun activities. Don’t get me wrong, it’s all good and I am thankful for these times in my life, but quite frankly, they are getting in the way of my blogging time!! I have several post in the works, and I do intend to get them finished. So in order to get things done today, I decided to just put 3 outfits into 1 post!
One style of clothing that I love are longer length tops. As I get older, there seem to be more areas that would rather skim over than highlight, if you know what I mean. When I saw this top at Loft, it was love at first sight. It is solid burgundy in the front and has beautiful print in the back and peeking out from the hem in the front. It is a soft, lightweight knit and the print has shades of grey, blue, black and white. It’s one of those tops that are great for work, because I can wear it with either my black or grey pants, but is also cute with jeans for the weekend.
Here I’m wearing them with grey pants, but will also style them with black. I actually wore this top with jeans and booties to go wedding dress shopping in NYC last weekend. (More on that fun day in an upcoming post)
Here is a look at the back of the top.
This next outfit, I wore to church last Sunday.
I love the classic pairing of black, white and red! Nothing is new here. It was one of those outfits that came together quite easily.
We all have those days where we stand in front of our clothes and say: “I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR!!” That’s when we should not try to reinvent the wheel of outfits. Just pull out a few tried and true pieces and see what you can come up with. I started with theses (very old) black booties. Then I decided that I wanted to wear black tights and my black, knit skirt. It was then that I remembered an outfit from another blog a few weeks ago that featured a black and white striped dress and red sweater. Voila! Not the same outfit, but I worked off that inspiration.
As you my sweet readers know, I don’t constantly post brand new things. I often, share outfits that are several years old. My hope is that my outfits can inspire you.
Now this outfit I wore to school recently. I apologize for the lighting. Another early morning photo shoot:
I really like the way olive green and black look together. I decided to pair my olive skirt with black and see what happens.
Olive skirt, black and cream striped shirt, black cardigan, tights and booties. I added a long black tassel necklace.
So there you have it – 3 outfits, 1 blog post!
I’m going to the “Belong Tour” tonight and tomorrow. It’s from the same people who used to do “Women of Faith”. I won tickets over the summer from another blogger and am taking the teacher that work with. It is such an incredible blessing to work with another Christian!
Have a lovely day my friends!
