What we put into our minds, comes out in our words and actions. We should program our minds to think what is right, pure, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy.
I love showers. Bridal showers and baby showers. I enjoy a time of feminine company, conversations and celebration. I was so touched to be invited to the lovely Liz’s bridal shower recently. Liz is a sister to Jon, my daughter Jessica’s, husband.
The shower took place at the clubhouse in the apartment complex where Liz lives. She knew when the shower was, but the place was secret. She arrived at the Club house with her sister, Jennifer, thinking she was just picking up a gift that was dropped off there. It was big surprise to walk in and find her shower all set up and see all the guests!
“Heeeeeyyyy! What are you doing here??”
One thing that Liz’s bridesmaids knew, is that Liz loves dessert, so they made the theme of the shower “Love is Sweet” and had all kinds of yummy deliciousness. I had one of those s’more cupcakes and they were outstanding!
That’s a four tiered cupcake stand full of custom made cupcakes in ever flavor imaginable.
Here is a candy bar with little bags to scoop into, whatever treats you would like to take home.
Black and white cookies, brownie bites, mini cream puffs and donut rings. And yes, as you can see in the background, there were also some healthy snack options!

This was fun. You could start with your choice of raspberries or strawberries, then choose a juice and top it off with champagne!

In addition to the treat bags, they gave each guest a mini bottle of champagne to take home. Liz’s sister, Jen had these darling labels made and Jessica tied them with tulle and a pretty paper straw.
It’s fairly common these days for a bride to have a wedding hashtag to use on social media. Liz and Ben’s are #eberlyeverafter and #soontobeaneberly since Ben’s last name is Eberly. These cute napkins went so nicely with there hashtag.
Here you can see how the room was decorated. All her bridesmaids did such beautiful job! They also made a slide show of pictures of Liz from all stages of her life as you can see on the big screen. One of the games was to guess how old Liz and Ben were in several photographs displayed in frames.
I just love this one of Liz when she was 4 years old, holding her big brothers’ hand. Her brother grew up to be my son-in-law. So precious!
