Today I’m talking about jackets and vests for the Create28 challenge. With the frigid temperatures around here lately, I’m all about an extra layer (or two!).
I decided to style my long military jacket today. I really like the length and and the modified hi-lo hem. It is slightly longer in the back.
A blazer is another jacket style I really like. I don’t wear them that often to work because they can be a bit restricting when working with children. Here is how I wore my navy blazer to church a few weeks ago.
A tan blazer is a versatile piece. Since it is a neutral, it goes with just about anything. I could have easily worn a cardigan here, but I like the way the blazer gives the outfit a bit more structure.
I started with a military style jacket and thought I would leave you with a military style vest! I have worn this vest countless times. It’s great when your outfit needs a little something. you know what I mean? I also like the way it “nips” in the waist a bit!
So head on into your closet and see what you can do with those jackets and vests!
For tomorrow we are styling leopard with another print. Could get a little wild around here!
The Rundown: Military jacket, Tan blazer – Target; Navy Blazer – Gap; Military vest – Old Navy
Continuing my study of 1 Corinthians 13:
1 Corinthians 13:2 “If I have the gift of prophesy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.”
Have a lovely day my friends!
