Well Fashionista Friends, here is a dressy look for you!
With my husband’s work, we sometimes have dressy dinners and parties to attend. This is a cocktail dress I bought for one of those parties. I like the neckline because it is covered with pearls and therefore takes the guess work out of “what kind of necklace should I wear?”. I’m wearing pearl drop earrings and if I were actually going somewhere, I would have slipped on a pearl bracelet as well. Some details slip your mind when when you are only dressing up for outfit pics. This dress would also work for a dressy evening wedding. It used to be a rule not to wear black to a wedding, but apparently that is no longer ‘in force’.
I chose to wear nude hose. I know there is all kinds of debate if they are still in style or passé. If it were summer, I would go bare legged. However between the cold and my pasty skin, I definitely prefer the look of nude hose. I also think that for dressy occasions, it just plain looks nicer. One note I would make is to choose a hose color that is as close to your skin tone as possible. You don’t want a drastic difference between your legs and your arms!
I usually have good luck finding cocktail dresses at White House Black Market. This is where this one is from. If you have an event coming up, I encourage to take a look there.
Tomorrow we are going to to mix 2 patterns. Stop by and have a look!

Continuing in “Love Like Him”, I’m learning that other things will pass away, but love lives forever.
1 Corinthians 13: 8-10 “Love never fails. But where there are prophesies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away. For we know in part and we prophesy in part, but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.
Have a lovely day my friends!
