Words to live by: Philippians 2:3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. When you have the chance to applaud and cheer on someone else, do you take it? Being humble involves having a true perspective about ourselves.
Hashtags are big these days. I’m sure you seen them everywhere from Instrgram to television advertisements. Wedding hashtags have taken the the wedding world by storm. #eberlyeverafter was the one of the hashtags used by the lovely couple whose wedding we attended last weekend. You can read about what I wore to the wedding here.
Liz is the sister of my son in law, Jon. She is very close to my daughter Jessica, and is also a member of our book club. We have had the pleasure of getting to know Liz and her intended, Ben Eberly over the last few years.
We were very excited when we received the invitation to the wedding. It was funny, both my husband and I exclaimed at about the same time “We made the cut!”
The wedding was held at a beautiful winery in New Hampshire. When you plan an outdoor wedding, there is the always present stress about how the weather will behave. Well let me tell you, it couldn’t have been nicer! It was a clear, sunny day with temps in the low 70s.
I love how the brides veil is catching the light here! I also love how Ben is looking at his bride.
I don’t know if I ever mentioned that my parents owned a florist. I grew up around beautiful flowers, bouquets and arrangements. So I have fond feeling about wedding flowers and always like to check them out. The arbor where the ceremony took place was swirled with grapevines and flower arrangements that mimicked the bridesmaids bouquets were attached at the corners.
The first minute of being husband and wife!
Liz look absolutely gorgeous in her wedding gown. I love the different shades of sage green in her bouquet.
The bridesmaids wore smokey grey dresses and carried bouquets in shades of pinks and oranges.
The bride’s sister, Jen was the matron of honor and her sweet little boy, Oliver was the ring bearer. Well, I don’t know if he actually carried the rings, but he sure is cute!
After the ceremony, while the bride and groom took pictures, we were treated to a lovely cocktail party on the patio.
The swirls on the cake mimicked the swirls on the brides dress. How fun?!
So many choices……
Here are the flowers on our table. Aren’t they gorgeous?
I loved this whimsical touch of having a wine barrel as a stand to hold a floral arrangement.
First dance as Mr. & Mrs.
The matron of honors speech.
The 3 Scudieri siblings watching Ben, the groom, dance with his lovely mother.
And not that the toasts are over, it’s time to dance!
Jessica captured this perfect shot of the bride!
So of course we had to have a little fun trying to replicate it!
When we get together, we always find easy to laugh and have a great time!
After all that ring bearing’ and dancing, Oliver is all tuckered out!
Checking out more wedding photo fun!
Fun on the dance floor!
We had a wonderful time at your wedding Ben and Liz! Thanks for the memories.
Much love to you as you live happily #eberlyeverafter!
