For you Laborers out there, Happy Labor Day! Really, we all labor in one way or another. Some of us work outside of the home and others work from home and others work very hard but without an actual paycheck. I hope you all are enjoying a day fun, relaxing or just hanging with your loved ones.
As you may have noticed, I’m doing an Early Fall Capsule Wardrobe.
Here are the next two looks from my capsule wardrobe:
This sleeveless yellow print blouse was perfect for the
hot oven like temps we had this past week. I decided to pair with my black skirt and wedges. To round out the look, I added my little bow belt and a necklace that belonged to my mother. I like the blouse with black but will also pair well with navy and with white.
I love pairing coral with navy! I guess you could call it color blocking. At it’s best I might add! I’ve had the blouse for a couple of years, but the pants are new from Gap. Friends, let me tell you something – those folks over a the Gap, know how to make a great pair of pants!! They fit well and have just the right amount of stretch. Not so much that you end up with a saggy butt and hour into your day, but just enough to give you room to move around freely.
Today being Labor Day is the day we traditionally pack up our white pants, skirts and shoes so we would not be seen in white after Labor Day. But I have
good great news for you! That rule is no longer in play! No siree Bob! We are now free to wear our whites all year long! Now to be clear, I will be sporting white pants and even white skirts (if I had one – which I don’t), but I think I will personally draw the line at white shoes. On thing at a time. Maybe next year. We’ll see.
Wearing: Yellow blouse – JCP; Black skirt, Navy pants – Gap; Coral blouse – Target; Black wedges – Macy’s; Blue wedges – Marshall’s
Words to live by: Hebrews 7:25 Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them. Jesus – the one who took on our sins and died for us, intercedes for us to our Father in Heaven. He looks after our interests. How comforting?!
Have a lovely day my friends!
