Words to live by: Isaiah 9:6 For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government shall be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. God promised to send a light who would shine on everyone living in the shadow of death. This message of hope was fulfilled in the birth of Christ and the establishment of his eternal kingdom.
I’m giddy with excitement because today is my last day of work until January 4, 2016! I’m dreading today a little because I know the kiddos are going to be C.R.A.Z.Y.! Oh well, it’s all good and I work with an amazing group of women who make the work we do interesting and downright fun!
The weather outside is anything but frightful. It’s actually downright balmy! Pretty much unheard of in late December in Connecticut. They are forecasting it to be warmer here on Christmas Eve than in Southern California, where I grew up. It makes it a little hard to figure out what to wear. I bought a pretty new sweater to wear for Christmas Eve. Since it is going to be close to 70 degrees, I’m going to have to convince the hubby to put the A/C on so I can wear it! #notgonnahappen
This outfit on the other hand, I wore on Saturday when we went to my husbands side of the family’s Christmas party. It was held in the Bershires which is definitely colder than here.
And another picture of the back of my head for a reader who asked!
A few months ago, I started following a Megan from Megintime blog. She blogs about style, her sweet little ones and her adventures on the 21 Day Fix program. Megan mentioned (a few times as I recall!), that she loved a lipstick called “Fig Jam” from Revlon that had been discontinued.
I starters thinking “Hmmm, maybe I can find it in a store around here.” I mean, the more she lamented about this color of lipstick, the more I had to have it!! Well, I it was not be found in an actual store, but I did find it online at BuyMeBeauty.com I gave Megan the heads up and she got right on it. Bought 6 tubes at once! Well, that did it. Now I had to have – sight unseen. I ordered 2 tubes (and assorted other things to get the free shipping, because – duh!). I figured I better get 2 because what if I love it? I would be mad at only having 1 tube. The verdict? I love it! Thank you Megan!
I wish you all from the bottom of my heart, a Very Merry Christmas!
