Words to live by: John 1:11 He came to that which was his own but his own did not receive him. – NIV
He came to his own people, but they didn’t want him. – The Message
Jesus knows what rejection feels like. He keeps coming, looking for his children – his beloved , because his love for them (us) is greater than the pain of their (our) rejection.
“Olive Striped Peplum”, now if that title doesn’t just reach out and grab ya? Ha. Pretty much a yawn of title, but in reality, a pretty cute little top!
I’ve seen the black and white striped version all over Instagram lately and wondered where everyone was getting it. You guessed it, Target! Well, I admit that I didn’t see it in the actual store, but finally found it online. I have been looking to find a couple more longer length tops that I could wear with leggings, so when I saw this in black/white and olive/white, I said don’t mind if I do. And with this these prices, who could blame me??
It was a little chilly so I wore it with a cardigan in a light grey shade. The colors don’t do it justice here, but I was really pleased how it in person.
I wouldn’t wear regular leggings to work, but these are ponte pants. They are comfortable, but much thicker than leggings. I also wore them with my black riding boots. This outfit was so comfy, I’m sure it will be on repeat for the next few months.
This top is still available online here. If you order, remember that it is junior sizing, so I went with a large. I tried on the medium, but felt like it was too tight in my arms. Also, the large was tiny bit longer.
Without thinking about it, I grabbed my cognac tote bag which I have been carrying constantly, but as I look at these photos, I probably should have switched to my grey purse. Oh well. That’s where taking outfit photos comes in handy. I can look back and fine tune my looks.
I want to let you, my sweet readers know that over the next few weeks, I may be posting pretty infrequently. I love blogging, but it is my hobby, not my job. I have a full time job working with children with Autism. When I add, family time, husband time, and getting ready for Christmas, I end up feeling very stressed and I don’t want blogging to be what stresses me. I enjoy it, and connecting with all of you too much. So, I’ll post when I can for now, and hopefully get back to a somewhat more regular schedule in January.
Don’t worry, I’ll be in and out, just putting my hobby on the back burner, while I put preparing for Christmas upfront!
Thank you for your understanding 🙂
Have a lovely day my friends!
