Guys! I’m so excited. Audrey at Putting Me Together is hosting a new weekly style challenge and you can play along here. http://www.puttingmetogether.com. This week she is asking us a to style a dress. As it turns out, I wore a dress to a baby shower yesterday and was planning to post it this week so WINNING.
I love the pattern mixing going on here with stripes from my dress and polka dots on the coat. I’m telling you, this striped dress is a real workhorse. Since it is essentially black and white (or cream), it is a neutral and goes with just about any other color I pair it with. I decided to go with my burgundy cardigan since I also have a statement necklace in the same color. I rounded out the look with black tights and riding boots.
If you are in the market for a dress you will wear a ton, get yourself a black and white ( or cream) striped dress. You won’t regret it.
The Rundown: Dress (re-fashioned by me), Coat, Cardigan – Target; riding boots – Macy’s; Necklace – Charming Charlie
As much as I love to share my love of clothes and styling tips, it means much more to me to be able to share my faith with you. I would much rather talk about what really matters. I read this in my devotional time this morning and I knew right away that I wanted to share it you.
“But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matthew 6:20-21.
