Happy Friday my Sweet Friends! Today is my last actual day off (if you don’t count the weekend) after a Summer filled with vacations, family, friends, relaxing by the pool and reading to my hearts content! I have loved every minute of it and am so thankful for the time to relax, energize and regroup.
On Monday I go back to work as a paraprofessional in an elementary school. I work with children with special needs – primarily children with Autism. I will be working at new (to me) school this year and am so excited to meet my new students and get to know the staff. Am I a little nervous to go somewhere new? You betcha. But mostly I am excited and grateful for the opportunity.
Lately, I have been feeling
a little blah totally uninspired when it comes to getting dressed and taking blog pictures. I’m pretty sure it stems from having to get dressed with nowhere particular to go. Like I just want to lay around in my comfy shorts and tank tops! Once I am back in work mode, I’m fairly certain the creative juices will start flowing again –let’s hope!!
I have decided to try something new. I’m going to create a capsule work wardrobe for the month of September! I want to focus on pieces that are still warm weather friendly – ’cause you know it’s gonna be warm –yet transition nicely to Fall. I’m still playing with the numbers, but I think I’ll choose around 28 pieces , including shoes to create my capsule. I’ll be honest I’m not planning on wearing the capsule pieces on the weekends, because it’s the weekend! I will post pics of the items I’m including so you can see what I’m remixing. This should be fun!
Now for today’s outfit:
I’ve had both these pieces for ages and never put them together. It’s hard to see in the photo, but print has the exact same color of the skirt in it.
This was a great outfit to wear to do a little shopping and dinner out with my oldest daughter. Cool and comfortable! We went to Nordstoms Rack which I find pretty overwhelming – It’s like TJMAXX on steroids. Where do I even begin??
Our cocktails coordinate with our outfits!
Wearing: Ruffled tank – very old– Target, Skirt – also, very old – NY&CO
Words to live by: Romans 5:7-8 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this; while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Today you can have hope (a confident expectation of good) because God loves you!
