So what did you do after the big storm? You know, the one where you got an extra day off from work? Oh you know, the usual. Took outfit photos. Of course, all that extra snow (18-20″ for those keeping track) does pose some challenges for taking pics. Like where do I stand?? And, frozen fingers and all.
One of my sweet blogging buddies, Carrie at A Lovely Little Wardrobe is hosting a style challenge/link up for the whole month of February. It’s called Create28. She challenges us to create 28 new looks from our closets – no need to shop for this one! I encourage you to take a look and hey, why not play along?
For todays look, I’ve layered several neutral pieces to come up with an outfit. As I’ve mentioned in other posts, layering (and lots of it) is key to surviving winter weather. I’m wearing a thin striped tunic sweater, a long ruffled cardigan, and a cozy infinity scarf. Rounding out the look are my navy ponte pants and cognac riding boots. I think the key to wearing all neutrals is to make sure you have some interesting texture and maybe a little bling! Super easy outfit to wear. Cozy and comfortable.
In other news, hubby and I are headed over to daughter and son-in-law’s house for a Super Bowl Party. Gotta support our New England Patriots! I’m making Buffalo Chicken Dip and hubby is making his famous, homemade chicken nuggets!
How about you? Any plans for the nosh fest that is the Super Bowl?
The Rundown: Cardigan – White House Black Market; Striped sweater – Loft; Infinity scarf – Old Navy; Ponte pants – Target; Riding boots – Macy’s
Jesus came into the world to save us, because he loves us. Not because we deserve it.
1 Timothy 1:15 — Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners – of whom I am the worst.
Friends, He loves us, even though we are the worst!
Have a lovely weekend my friends!
