Words to live by: Hosea 14:4 I will heal their waywardness and love them freely. When friends and family desert us, when co-workers don’t understand us, when we are burdened with guilt – God’s compassion never fails us. He seeks us out, nudges us and loves us.
First off, I would like to thank you sweet friends for all your super, kind words about my new do. You sweet ladies ROCK!
So I have been playing around a bit with some outfit ideas for the next couple of weeks and have decided that my white jeans will play a major role. I know some of you are firmly in the camp that you can’t wear white and I was right there with you at one time. However, I think it is high time we put that outdated rule in the same place we have put other outdated fashion rules. Be brash. Be bold. I promise, you won’t get a visit from the fashion police. And if for some reason, you do get pulled over, you can remind them of some other fashion “rules” we no longer abide by:
1) You must make sure your seams are straight up the back of your nylons.
2) Your bag must match your shoes.
3) Also, your belt must match your shoes.
These rules are as outdated as the no white after Labor Day “rule”. That being said, here is an example of an outfit that I will definitely be sporting next week:
I have always loved navy and mustard together and really like this combo with white jeans. I think this is another example of an easy, early fall transition look. I’ll need the cardigan in the morning, but will probably shed it by 9am.
I picked up this sheer, printed blouse at JC Penney recently for a steal!
I’ve been wearing my glasses more and more as opposed to my contacts. I wanted to show you what they look like with my new ‘do.
Okay. So who’s with me?? Be bold. Be brave.
Have a lovely day my friends!
