Words to live by: John 1:29 The next day John (the baptist) saw Jesus coming toward him and said, “Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!” To pay the penalty for sin, a life has to be given (before Jesus’ death and resurrection, a lamb was sacrificed every morning and night) – God chose to provide the sacrifice himself.
If you have been reading a my blog for awhile, you may know that one of my favorite bloggers to follow is Jen from Librarian for Life & Style. Seriously, if you are not following her, you are missing out! I love her down to earth yet fun and quirky style! Every couple of weeks, she and a couple of other bloggers, put out a challenge called SIA – Style Imitates Art. They choose a piece of art and then encourage us to come up with an outfit that somehow represents the art. It’s really a lot of fun and it is open to non bloggers as well as bloggers.
This weeks challenge was called Le Chat Noir.
I chose to repeat the colors in the print.
For the gold background, I pulled out my trusty mustard cardi. For the black, I carried my black and white striped purse. (I chose black and white because I was thinking of my sweet kitty “Daisy” who went to cat heaven 3 years ago.) If you look closely at my necklace, there is red along with yellow and dark grey.
I also chose a sheer red lipstick! Revlons Lip Balm and Stain in Romantic.
I wore this outfit out to breakfast with my hubby. As you can see, it was really easy to come up with an outfit using the SIA challenge! I hope this encourages you go give it a try!
Have a lovely day my friends!
