And just like that, it’s FALL! Or at least it feels like it. We woke up yesterday morning to such a dry, chill in the air. Crisp, you could definitely call it. Time for apple picking and bonfires. Cant’ wait for that! Yesterday, the hubby and my daughter and her hubby went to a Harvest Wine Festival. What a lovely day we had. I plan to post more on that later in the week. (So yes, you will get a break from Capsule wardrobe posts!)
Here is a new look from my Early Fall Capsule Wardrobe:
In case you didn’t notice, I decorated the porch for Fall. I’ts pretty much standard here in New England to have mums, pumpkins and the like on your porch. Is it like that where you live? I’m really curious about this. I grew up on Southern California and I don’t remember it being done to this extreme back then. Maybe a couple of pumpkins, but that was it.
This navy dress is so comfy. I decided to try it on it’s own with just a belt and scarf. Aside from the fact that I look a bit like a flight attendant, I really like how it turned out. Fun fact: I always wanted to be a flight attendant when I was much younger. I was actually called back for several interviews with United Airlines, even being flown to Denver for interviews, but alas, didn’t make the final cut. I have always loved to travel and thought this would be perfect for me. However, God had other plans for me. I would choose being mother to my 3 daughters over any job! (Even if it did come with awesome travel benefits!!)
How about you, was there a path that was “perfect” for you ? But then God sent you down a different path? I would love to hear about it!
Wearing: Navy tee dress – Macy’s; Navy wedges = Marshall’s; Scarf – ON; Belt – Land’s End
Words to live by: 2 Corinthians 4:17-18 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eye not on what is seen, but what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. Don’t fix your eyes on the momentary troubles in front of you. Instead, fix your eyes on what God has in store for you. Try to follow His will for your life. Your trouble will seem much smaller.
Have a lovely day by friends!
