1 Chronicles 16:34 Give thanks to the Lord, for he’s is good; his love endures forever. Forever is a really long time. In fact, it is beyond our understanding. God loves us way more than we can even understand. What a comforting thought and something we can hold on to.
Happy Thanksgiving week my dear, sweet friends! I love that it is a time when we publicly share that we are thankful to God for the blessings in our life. I am thankful for many of the same things you are thankful for: a loving husband, my children, family, a warm comfortable home, a good jobs, and our health. However, I am most thankful for my relationship with Jesus. I have been spending a lot of my devotional time lately learning about God’s ever present presence in my life. It has been rocking my world. Seriously.
I have mentioned here before that I start each and every morning with a cup of coffee and “Jesus Calling” by Sarah Young. I have learned so much from this devotional. I highly recommend it! Another thing I read each day is the Daily Marriage Prayer from Darlene Schacht. You can find it here. Darlene writes a new prayer for you to read/pray each day and includes scripture to go with it. It has been so encouraging for me and I hope it can be for you too. She also writes a beautiful blog about marriage called Time Warp Wife that I can’t get enough of!
I’m thankful for Sarah, Darlene and many others who have encouraged me in my Christian walk over the years.
So, the mum plants on my front porch (that were the centerpiece of my fall porch decor!) bit the dust. Since we host a large Thanksgiving Eve party as well as a full house for Thanksgiving Dinner, I needed to come up with anther look pronto!
I wanted to bring you some Thanksgiving outfit ideas this week. The first is what I wore to church and may wear for dinner on Thursday – not sure yet. (More looks to come this week!)
I plan on bringing you some more turkey day outfit ideas this week so stay tuned!
