Words to live by: John 15:16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit – fruit that will last. Jesus made the first choice to love and die for us, to invite us to live with him forever. We make the next choice – to accept or reject his offer. Without his choice, we would have no choice (or hope) to make. – From the NIV Study Bible.
How was your weekend? We did something fun and different on Friday night. We hosted a Traveling Vinyard wine tasting party! If you haven’t heard of Traveling Vinyard, it is like a Tupperware party, but for wine! A friend of mine started working for them and I wanted to support her. We invited several of our couple friends over – that is what really won us over – the fact that it’s not just a party for your girlfriends. Hubbys and boyfriends can get in on the fun too!
I made several different appetizers to be paired with the different wines she was having us taste. Everyone loved it!
So now on to what I wore to church!
In my attempt to better utilize the clothes I already own, I decided to give this colorful cardigan a whirl. I pass on it often because it just seems too bright and busy. Today however, maybe because of the fresh snow, I was in the mood for brights!
I was glad for my riding boots since the pathways to church were shoveled, but maybe not completely.
This outfit actually started with me wanting wear my white, peplum sweater and the pink necklace. I then of course added the pink pencil skirt, and the the bright printed sweater. After I put on my tights and boots, I felt like the waist needed some definition so I added the belt. It felt like the finishing touch.
Have a wonderful week my friends. Stay warm!
