Words to live by: Luke 12:15 Then Jesus said to them “Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a mans life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” So important! We are not what we have, what we wear or what we want. Work on your relationships – first to God, then to those around you. When you think about it, right relationships are what make you happy.
Happy Monday! I’m saying that as much as a greeting to you as a motivation for me. Work has been kicking my behind and I’ve been coming home exhausted. Hence the reason things were pretty quiet here on the blog last week. Let’s hope and pray for a better week!
Steve and I had the pleasure of attending a beautiful wedding this weekend. You may remember that I posted about the bridal shower here. I plan to do a full wedding post later this week, but for now, here is what I wore:
I picked up this sheath dress on an end of season sale at Macy’s. I loved the color and the fact that is made of stretch fabric that made it very comfortable, especially since we had a 2 1/2 hour car ride to the wedding. Also, it doesn’t wrinkle so that was another win!
My first idea was to wear my nude, strappy wedges, which would have looked nice. However, I bought these black, lace up wedges and was itching to take them for a test drive. They are the White Mountain brand and I bought them at Macy’s too. Since I went with black shoes, I wanted to repeat black in my outfit too. I wore a black pendent necklace and carried a purse with a black strap and bow.
These wedges are very comfortable right out of the box. In all honesty, I danced the night away and my feet were fine!
Here we are at the cocktail hour between the ceremony and dinner. As you can see by our sunglasses, it was a gorgeous day weather wise.
My daughter, Jessica was one of the bridesmaids!
Be sure to stop by later this week when I will do a full post on all the wedding fun!
Have a lovely day my friends!
