Happy Monday Everyone! I hope you had a great weekend – I know we sure did. Friday after work, hubby and I headed out to our favorite local hangout for cocktail and some appetizers. It was our kick off to a quiet weekend at home. Our weekends and even weeknights have been so jam packed lately, that we really needed this.
On Saturday, we woke up fairly early and decided to go for a hike before breakfast (after coffee though, of course!) After that, we headed out to breakfast and dined on some yummy omelets and eggs benedict. Next it was off to the nursery to finally get our vegetable plants and annuals – so late I know! However, on the upside, the plants were dirt cheap, lol! Then we picked up a few groceries for dinner and headed home to get planting.
After all our chores, it was time to kick back and read and relax by the pool! This is my happy place 🙂
Hubby and I were up bright and early yesterday, so we decided to go to the early service at church. This is what I wore:
I love to wear maxi dresses in the summer. I decided to top this one with my denim vest to make it a little more modest for church.
Last summer I needed a denim vest for a style challenge, but didn’t want to pay $30-40 for something I wasn’t sure I would wear much. I picked up a denim jacket at Goodwill for $6 and took my handy, dandy scissors to the sleeves and voila! No need to hem it since a little fray on denim is fine.
How about you – Do you have any easy DIY stories to share? I’d love to hear them in the comments!
Wearing: Maxi dress – Kohl’s; Denim vest – thrifted and refashioned; Bag – Gap; Sandals – Target
Colossians 3:15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.
Have a lovely day my friends!
