Words to live by: Ephesians 4:30-32 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ, God forgave you. Do you grieve God with your attitudes and actions? The Bible doesn’t tell us that we shouldn’t feel angry, but reminds us to handle our anger properly. If vented thoughtlessly, anger can hurt others and destroy relationships. Paul tells us to deal with our anger in a way that builds relationships rather than destroy them.
Thank you all for bearing with me as I try to adjust from writing mainly a “style blog” to more of a “lifestyle blog”. I have to say, I really enjoy being able to share more of my life with you than just what I wore! Don’t get me wrong – I still love clothes and plan to share outfits too! It’s just that I’m trying to figure out when, and how much to post about my other interests. I plan to share more about what I’m reading, cooking and crafting as well as travel posts. In addition, I want to continue to share my faith and encourage you.
I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your taking the time to read my post about Tessa’s engagement party. I loved sharing it with you and appreciate your comments!
I plan to get back to posting about our vacation, but thought I would mix in a little style, since I know some of you only stop by for that!
Here is what I wore to church: I should have worn my sunnies. #squintyeyes
I’ve had this skirt for years. It was, I think, the first time I ever bought something because a blogger had it. Kendieveryday featured it like in 2011! Haha! The shirt is from this spring at Gap.
Here is an outfit I wore a couple of weeks ago and am just getting round to posting. (Uh, better late than never!) The shirt is one you may remember from my first Stitch Fix. You can read about it here. The skinny jeans are from Loft and the wedges are Uggs from Nordstrom. Thy are very comfortable, especially on achey feet!
I added my long turquoise tassel necklace and grabbed my olive utility jacket from Target.
As you can see, I am constantly mixing old things with new things in my closet. I tend to keep things that I like for quite awhile. It always makes me happy to think of new ways to wear them.
Have a lovely day my friends!
