Words to live by: Hebrews 13:7 Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. We owe much of our faith to the those who taught us the gospel and modeled Christian living. Take a moment to thank God for those who invested themselves in you. Carry on their good work by serving the Lord wherever you are. *** I like to think back to my earliest memories of my Good News Club teacher, Mrs. Dempsey, and thank God for her!
Happy Labor Day everyone! Hopefully you have been able to take a break from your labors and enjoy a day off. I know I sure am happy to have a day off – even though I have only been back to work for a week!!
Our first day back with the kiddos was a wild ride I’ll tell you. So many new students and a new schedule and it was crazy hot and humid! Each day has been a little better as we get to know our new guys.
I know I wear this pink, pencil skirt a lot for church, but it always makes me feel a little dressed up. And I like that. I made a commitment to only wear skirts or dresses to church on Sunday mornings. *This is only a personal decision for myself. I just decided when I was in my early 20’s that church was worth dressing up for. I paired my favorite skirt with a flowy, floral blouse and believe it or not, it was actually chilly enough to warrant a light jacket!
I love all the colors in this blouse.
These nude stripy wedges are favorite of mine to wear with dressier looks.
This light wash denim jacket is from Macy’s. It is the Charter Club brand. It’s on sale if it’s something you are interested in. For size reference, I’m wearing a medium. I really like the cut. It is shaped at the waist so it is a flattering fit instead of a boxy fit.
I don’t know if you can see my earrings, but they are a pretty gold drop in the shape of a disc. I wandered into The Limited last week and they were on “final sale” for $6.99 plus 50% off. So got them for $3.50! I was pretty happy. Small victories!
Have a lovely day my friends!
